Portable Appliance Testing (PAT PAT general or inspection or PAT Testing) is known, is a process that is routinely tested in the United Kingdom by the electrical appliances for safety.
| The correct term for the entire process is in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment. The Electricity at Work Regulations (1989) calls must be "All electrical systems are maintained to prevent, as far as is reasonably practicable, no danger." The regulations also state "It is the duty of every employer and self-employed in order to comply with the provision of these regulations. |

" The proof of competence of a company in the PAT test is usually in the form of a course certificate or qualification to be found. Therefore, it is generally recommended that when a company wishes PAT testing in house, then they have the person making the examination performed on a portable device or at least training complete a distance learning course in order to fully understand, what it is they are in control. We are also a qualified PAT testing NICEIC registered company and all our engineers are City and Guilds.
